Under the title "Troublemakers," we would like to organize an exhibition that summarizes those tendencies that are still closest to the eternal avant-garde perspective and the artist's lifestyle. At the beginning of the nineties, after countless manifestos, it seemed for the umpteenth time that the avant-garde had permanently institutionalized itself, and there was no perspective that could restore it to its virgin state, as the neo-conceptualist, least commercializable, and most opportunistic tendencies became institutionalized. It's as if Political Correctness had overperformed its real intention and administratively closed around itself the very barriers it wished to invalidate. The quality of behavior, formulated with social sensitivity, struggles among doctrines and increasingly commits itself to the enemy image it has generated itself—that is, it becomes institutionalized. The exhibition presents artists who are able to maintain their independence, even if this might have existential consequences.
